On July 5th 2005, Helms Candy Company finalized the merger of Moretz Candy Company also of Bristol Virginia. The company has been a long time competitor of Helms Candy with Moretz's Red Band Stick Candy products.

Helms is pleased to announce that all aspects of Moretz Candy Company will remain the same. Red Band products will still be made with the same quality, taste, value, appearance and container styles that have been a Moretz tradition for over 60 years. We are looking forward to combining the candy expertise and talents that the two companies posess which will further increase quality and service to all of our customers.

On April 1st of this year we began moving the Moretz operation into our main factory on Lee Highway. The phone number from the Moretz factory (669-2533) has also been moved and is active or you can use our main number at 276-669-2612. The Moretz Candy website has been discontinued and redirected directly to this website.
